Rebekah Inez "Becky" Edwards passed away on March 11, 2025, in Rosiclare, Illinois, at the age of 57 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.Born on August 21, 1967, at Miner's Hospital in Nevada City, California, Becky was raised by her grandparents, Roy and Vernell Hammock, in a big house on Wet Hill Road. Though she had only one brother, her grandparents fostered many children for Nevada County, surrounding her with the experience of a large extended family. Becky's loving parents, Larry and Virginia Edwards, remained close to her her entire life, helping to care for her in her last years. Becky attended Forest Lake Christian School before moving on to Seven Hills Middle School. She later attended Nevada Union High School and graduated from Sierra Mountain High School in 1985. While life took her to many different places over the years, she carried the spirit of home within her wherever she went.
